Triangle ArtWorks Site Launch & A Behind The Scenes Look At What Makes It Tick

A brand new website for a brand new non-profit organization, Triangle ArtWorks, went live this morning! TriangleArtWorks.org not only provides access to information and services that were once scattered everywhere and sometimes impossible to find, it also serves a platform for local artists to build a sense of community. Triangle area artists - from painters to sculptors to musicians - now have a place to go to find information about legal services, funding, advocacy and legislative issues and a way to connect area artists with one another for support and information about what’s going on in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.

Using a customized WordPress solution as a content managment system for the site, TriangleArtWorks volunteers will be able to easily update content, add new pages and subpages, update the primary and secondary navigation items for the website - even rearrange and change the footer information - all without worrying about compromising the site’s design.  For a newly formed non-profit, the money they’ll be saving on making site updates and having complete control over when and how much information is added is not only priceless - it’s integral.

As exciting as this launch is for me, I’m already thinking about what’s in store for the future of Triangle ArtWorks — specialized online fundraising strategies will be created as well as new ways to enhance the community and bring artists together. These are all good things for Triangle ArtWorks - but they’re great things for Triangle artists!

Special thanks goes to Beth Yerxa and the Triangle ArtWorks board for making this organization and this website a reality!

Upcoming Launches: Excitement Abounds

I’ve been a very busy woman these past few months, but now it’s July and in a matter of days, everyone will finally get to see the fruits of my labor!

Look for the launch of the website for Triangle Art Works next week, a brand new website for a brand new non-profit organization formed to supports the arts community here in the heart of North Carolina. In addition to unveiling the site, I’ll be showing some behind the scenes approaches for new and interesting ways to use WordPress as a content management tool, as well as sharing some tips for successful fundraising campaigns.

Later this month you can look for an all new online approach for Contactology, a Raleigh based company that’s climbing the ranks and finding success in a market that’s crowded and confusing - for everyone else. A 100% content-driven design approach with A/B testing at every stage ensures the new site will exponentially decrease bounce rates and increase conversions. Learn more about this cost-efficient approach when the new site launches!

In addition to breathing new life into a set of old brand standards, the site redesign features a more user friendly interface, SEO friendly code and content, and has been integrated with a CMS created by Salesforce.

Special thanks to Cathy Miles, Marketing Manager at Carilion Labs and Matthew Yeoh, CMS developer at Salesforce for making this site launch a success.

Noticing You Noticing Me

Hey, guess what? A design project we did for BBYO and PlusThree has been been featured on the CSS Based design gallery today. The site featured is the BBYO Program Bank.  The BBYO Program Bank is part of a family of sites that PlusThree was tapped to reinvent and bring to life for the world’s largest Jewish youth organization.  Citizen was fortunate to be called in as the creative consultant by PlusThree and acted as the creative director/designer for these projects. The rest of the BBYO sites will be launching very soon, so keep an eye on Citizen’s portfolio in the coming days for new additions.

The Citizen Design website was added to a few CSS design galleries as well: CSS Mania, CSS Impress, and CSS Loggia.  Take a look — and enjoy the galleries! They’re a great remedy for design block.
